Key takeaways

  • CrowdStrike announced the AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian, available today, at Fal.Con Europe 2026.
  • The kill switch terminates a running agent at the Gateway, blocks relaunch on the targeted host or host group, and cuts enterprise network access.
  • CEO George Kurtz said AI safety is how enterprises get the full benefit of AI, and CISO Rick Orloff of Everpure said the control runs on the Falcon sensor already deployed.

CrowdStrike announced the AI Kill Switch in Falcon Guardian on November 3, 2026, a control that lets security teams terminate a rogue AI agent, block it from relaunching and cut its enterprise network access. The feature is available today, Business Wire reported from Fal.Con Europe 2026.

How the CrowdStrike Kill Switch Stops an Agent

Falcon Guardian already discovers the AI agents running in an enterprise, enforces policy on what they can do and detects attacks against them. The AI Kill Switch adds the decision to stop an agent, placed with the security leaders accountable for it, according to the announcement.

In the case of a rogue agent, the Falcon sensor stops the agent from executing, first at the Gateway and soon on the endpoint, so a malicious or misbehaving agent does not keep running while teams investigate. Falcon Guardian policy then keeps the agent from relaunching on the targeted host or host group, and the agent loses its enterprise network access. An authorized administrator triggers the action, and every action is recorded in the audit trail.

CrowdStrike said AI agents work with system-level access across endpoints, cloud and SaaS, chain steps, hit obstacles and can take actions no one authorized even when no adversary is involved. George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike, said: "AI safety is how you get the full benefit of AI. When you deploy agents with a kill switch, you stay in control."

Rick Orloff, CISO at Everpure, said: "We want our teams to use AI agents. If one goes off course, the AI Kill Switch gives our security team the final say." Orloff said the control runs on the Falcon sensor Everpure already has, which he said lets the company say yes to more agents and more AI, faster.

CrowdStrike's Scale Behind Falcon Guardian

CrowdStrike's akta.pro company records show $5.51 billion in annual recurring revenue, growing 24% year over year with 97% gross retention, and $1.39 billion in Q1 FY2027 revenue, up 26% year over year. The same records list net new ARR of $256 million, up 32% year over year, and a fiscal 2027 revenue guidance range of $5.91 billion to $5.96 billion. Kurtz targets $20 billion in ARR by fiscal year 2036, according to the records.

CrowdStrike's European AI Security Push

CrowdStrike expanded Project QuiltWorks across Europe on November 2, 2026, adding partners including Atos, BT, Computacenter, Deutsche Telekom Security and Telefónica, Stock Titan reported. The same day, Stock Titan reported that Ignition Technology made a multi-million-dollar Falcon Flex commitment in Q1 FY27 to expand AI-native cybersecurity access for European SMBs and mid-market customers. CrowdStrike and CoreWeave also announced an expanded partnership to secure production AI workloads on CoreWeave's cloud, combining Falcon platform protection with 24/7 managed security services, Stock Titan reported.

Where the Kill Switch Rolls Out Next
