Genki has relaunched its Genki Native health insurance with a minimum coverage period of one month and a €3.5 million annual limit for covered costs in the Premium tier, the company said in a PRLog announcement. The product is available to people from any country up to age 55 at sign-up.
What Genki Native Now Covers
Genki said the update reduces the minimum coverage period to one month while still allowing members to stay covered long-term. The relaunch also expands cover for preventive care and dental treatment. Genki Native is underwritten by Squarelife Insurance, a Liechtenstein-based insurer.
Neville Mehra, co-founder of Genki, said: "We feel Genki Native is now the best of all worlds in one product: international health insurance that allows people to sign up online in minutes, pay monthly, and stay covered as long as they need to, from one month up to the rest of their lives."
Elias Vicari, CEO of Squarelife, said: "People with modern, mobile lifestyles were often force-fit into legacy insurance products with fixed end dates or rigid annual contracts. Our digital platform lets us do the opposite: build the product around the people it's for and keep improving it together."
Genki Native is available now for sign-up from anywhere, including while traveling, through the company's online sign-up page. People can enroll from any country up to age 55 at sign-up, and there is no age limit once covered.
Genki's Earlier Product and Partner Moves
According to akta.pro company records, Genki rebranded and relaunched its product lineup in 2024 as Genki Traveler and Genki Native in Basic and Premium tiers, replacing the legacy Explorer and Resident products. In August 2025 the company joined the Issa Compass cross-border mobility ecosystem, embedding its health insurance as a service for digital nomads and skilled professionals relocating internationally. The same records list Squarelife as the insurer for Genki Native, responsible for covering medical costs, handling claims processing and providing insurance-related customer support.
Genki's Path to the Relaunch
In July 2026, Genki acquired Cologne-based insurtech startup Wave Claims and its Claim OS software in its first acquisition, PRLog reported. PRWeb reported the same month that the acquisition covered Wave Claims and its Claim OS software. Genki was founded in 2021 and offers international health and travel insurance for digital nomads, expats and long-term travelers.
