Arla Foods Ingredients and wheyco, DMK Group's whey business, will exhibit together at Fi Europe in Frankfurt from November 17 to 19, 2026, their first joint display since the merger of their parent companies. GlobeNewswire published the announcement on November 3, 2026.

What the Joint Frankfurt Stands Will Show

Arla Foods Ingredients, a subsidiary of Arla Foods, and wheyco will occupy stands opposite each other, #30J94 and #30K94, both carrying the message 'Growing Stronger Together'. DMK's subsidiary wheyco will be represented on the Arla Foods Ingredients stand. Arla Foods and DMK Group came together on June 1 to form what the release describes as Europe's largest dairy cooperative.

Anne Widart, Vice President, Commercial, at Arla Foods Ingredients, said: "One of the many benefits of the merger has been the creation of an ingredients powerhouse. It has unlocked new synergies and opportunities, allowing us to build something even better for the future. Fi Europe is the perfect platform to demonstrate our shared ambitions."

Arla Foods Ingredients debuted its 'Targeted GLP-1 Companion Nutrition' concept earlier this year. At Fi Europe it will showcase new applications: a spoonable yogurt, a drinking yogurt, a fermented high-protein shot and a high-protein water-based shot. The 'Unlock Permeate' concept will show how Variolac, a whey permeate ingredient produced through nanofiltration, can improve cost-effectiveness and sensory properties in dairy, bakery and confectionery applications. Visitors can sample protein shakes, protein waters and the AirBar, an aerated milk protein bar.

Widart added: "These concepts typify Arla Foods Ingredients' commitment to innovation, from GLP-1 companion nutrition and active nutrition to improving taste and cost efficiency with whey permeate. With our expertise and capabilities further enhanced by the merger, we can deliver even greater value to our customers."

DMK Industry will present its fat-filled ingredients, TOPPICS, FATTICS and BATTICS, and Sweetened Condensed Milk portfolios through four concepts: cupcakes with an aerated topping, chocolate caramel cookies, chocolate espresso fudge and a Café Bombón.

The AirBar and GLP-1 Concepts Behind the Stand

According to akta.pro company records, Arla Foods Ingredients launched the AirBar concept in May 2026, featuring Nutrilac PB 8420 milk protein with aeration technology enabling up to 30% high-quality protein in aerated bar textures, shown at Vitafoods Europe 2026. In April 2026 the company launched its GLP-1 Companion Nutrition Solutions concept portfolio, covering fermented protein drinks, yogurt shots and water-based protein shots, designed to address up to 40% lean muscle loss and up to 76% GI discomfort reported in GLP-1 medication users. The same records show a strategic co-development partnership with Novonesis, combining Nutrilac and Lacprodan BLG-100 proteins with probiotics for GLP-1 companion nutrition products.

Earlier Stops on the Ingredients Circuit

At SupplySide Global in Las Vegas on October 28-30, Arla Foods Ingredients planned to demonstrate three personalized protein shake formulas targeting strength, endurance and flexibility, using Lacprodan whey protein isolates, GlobeNewswire reported in October 2026. At Vitafoods Europe 2026 in Barcelona, Sarah Meyer, head of sales development for Performance Nutrition at Arla Foods Ingredients, outlined how growing adoption of GLP-1 medications is shifting demand toward smaller, nutrient-dense food formats, foodingredientsfirst.com reported in May 2026. In August 2026, Just Food reported that Arla Foods plans additional capital expenditure on ingredients as demand for protein rises, with its CEO saying prices for protein ingredients "have really taken off."
