LCC Projects has received a Letter of Intent for a ₹703 crore Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contract from the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board to build water supply infrastructure across Bharuch and Vadodara districts. CNBCTV18 reported the order, which the company disclosed in a regulatory filing.

Inside the Bhadbhut Barrage Water Scheme

LCC Projects will survey, design and construct an end-to-end water supply system drawing raw water from the Bhadbhut Barrage on the Narmada River, according to the filing. The scope includes an intake well and approach bridge at the barrage, plus ductile iron (DI-K9) and mild steel pipelines carrying water to distribution stations.

The company will build reinforced cement concrete storage tanks, a pump house, staff quarters and boundary walls, and install pumping machinery, electrical and instrumentation systems and SCADA technology for remote monitoring of water flow. The scheme will move water from main intake stations to secondary distribution points serving industries in Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation areas and rural communities in the two districts.

Construction must finish within 18 months of the Letter of Intent, including a three-month trial run. LCC Projects will then operate and maintain the system, covering daily operations, equipment maintenance and repairs, for 10 years.
