Maasi, a Bengaluru-based childcare company, has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Better Capital and Antler India. Bwdisrupt reported the round, which also drew angel investors including Rishikesh SR of Rapido, Vaibhav Khandelwal of Shadowfax, Sumit Khandelwal of Xoxoday, Siddhant Goyal of Crane VC and Sanjay Ramakrishnan of Multiply Ventures.

Maasi's Caregiver and Platform Plans

Maasi plans to put the funds toward recruiting and training more caregivers, building out its technology platform and growing its team in Bengaluru. The company offers on-demand nannies starting at Rs 199 per hour and monthly subscriptions starting at Rs 5,999, with caregivers screened and trained before they are assigned to families. The training programme is run by preschool directors, nurses and former airline cabin crew trainers.

Maasi has also introduced Maasi Governess, a category of English-speaking nannies trained in screen-free engagement and childcare. The company said it has served more than 1,200 parents through a network of over 500 caregivers and is growing 20 per cent week on week. After its public launch on October 20, Maasi received more than 4,000 waitlist sign-ups within five days.

Maasi grew out of Urban Parents Club, a community of more than 8,000 Bengaluru parents. Founders Aashu, Gargi and Reshov built the business after identifying how hard families find it to secure reliable childcare. Vaibhav Domkundwar, founder of Better Capital, said the investment was aimed at addressing the need for reliable childcare and improving accountability for families. Rajiv Srivatsa, partner at Antler India, said the company was focusing on caregiver selection and maintaining standards across its services.

Antler India launched a new cohort of nine startups focused on AI, climate tech and other sectors, YourStory reported on July 29, 2026. Maasi will focus on expanding its operations in Bengaluru and strengthening its caregiver network as it develops its childcare services, according to its own announcement.
