U-Solar Clean Energy is advancing a 20 MW ground-mounted open-access solar project in Vijayapura, Karnataka, with commissioning targeted for September 2026. Electricalindia reported the project will supply renewable electricity to an IT park in Bengaluru and offset about 27,272 tonnes of CO2 annually. U-Solar is a Bangalore-based solar EPC provider and developer founded in 2010 that builds rooftop, ground-mount, BIPV and battery-based solar systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare and government customers.

U-Solar's Vijayapura Plant and Bengaluru Supply Link

U-Solar Clean Energy is handling the solar EPC and overall project execution, taking responsibility for the project through construction and commissioning. Electricity generated at the Vijayapura plant is planned to serve an IT park in Bengaluru housing multiple technology companies, connecting generation in one part of Karnataka with concentrated commercial demand in another.

The plant will use Rayzon 625 Wp TOPCon solar modules, incorporating N-type TOPCon technology, and Sineng inverters to convert DC electricity into AC power for grid integration. U-Solar estimates the project will offset approximately 27,272 tonnes of CO2 annually.

K.R. Harinarayan, Founder & CEO of U-Solar, described the 20 MW project as an addition to the company's growing portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy assets. He highlighted the project's ability to connect generation in Vijayapura with electricity consumption at an IT park in Bengaluru, where several technology companies will use the power.

Open-access projects allow eligible commercial and industrial consumers to source electricity from renewable generation facilities while using the existing electricity network to deliver that power. The Vijayapura project follows that model, with the plant located in Vijayapura and its electricity intended for consumers associated with the Bengaluru IT park.

U-Solar's Project Record and Revenue Growth

According to akta.pro company records, U-Solar has set up 300+ MW of solar power plants over 14+ years of operations and has implemented 250+ projects spanning BIPV, battery-based systems and solar carports. The same records list more than 70 companies across commercial, industrial, institutional and government sectors as customers, and an MNRE channel partnership that supports customers in availing government subsidies for rooftop solar.

Earlier U-Solar Expansion Reports

Construction World reported in October 2026 that U-Solar's revenue rose over 100% to more than Rs 10 bn in the current fiscal year, up from Rs 4.25 bn, and that the Bengaluru-based firm will deliver an additional 200 MW of renewable assets, bringing its total delivered capacity beyond 500 MW. SolarQuarter reported in August 2026 that U-Solar was executing the same 20 MW ground-mount open-access project in Vijayapura, with completion targeted for September 2026 and Rayzon TOPCon modules and Sineng inverters planned for the facility. SolarQuarter also reported in October 2026 that U-Solar presented its shift from EPC contractor to integrated renewable energy management partner at IITMAA Sangam 2026 in Bengaluru.

U-Solar's September 2026 Commissioning Target

With construction underway, the next stage for U-Solar is final execution and commissioning of the 20 MW facility, targeted for September 2026.
