By ·

Key takeaways

  • FinChain and Plume launched FLEX & FINO on November 4, 2026, targeting annualized returns of up to 7.2%.
  • The strategy uses FUSD as collateral to borrow USDC and deploy it into liquidity pools, with a 90% utilization cap and T+2 redemption.
  • FinChain also completed an integration with KuCoin allowing FUSD to participate in the exchange's RCMS staking mirror solution.

FinChain, a crypto-finance platform incubated by Fosun Wealth Holdings, and blockchain infrastructure provider Plume launched FLEX & FINO, an on-chain real-world asset yield strategy targeting annualized returns of up to 7.2%, on November 4, 2026. FinanceFeeds reported the launch. The companies did not disclose the amount of capital initially committed to the product.

How FLEX & FINO Uses FUSD Collateral

FinChain said FLEX & FINO uses its interest-bearing FUSD token, backed by tokenized short-term US Treasury securities and money market funds, to combine traditional asset returns with income from decentralized finance lending. Participants deposit FUSD as collateral while continuing to earn its underlying yield, then borrow USDC and allocate the borrowed stablecoins to liquidity pools offering additional returns. The projected 7.2% annual percentage yield is based on baseline assumptions and is not a guaranteed return.

FinChain said reserve assets are maintained at a minimum collateralization ratio of 100% and held by designated custodians. The product operates with a 90% utilization cap as part of its leverage risk-management framework, a T+2 redemption settlement cycle, and interest settlements over periods ranging from T+14 to T+30. The strategy introduces risks beyond the Treasury-backed assets, including borrowing costs, liquidity conditions, collateral fluctuations and smart-contract vulnerabilities.

Plume is a blockchain platform focused on integrating institutional financial assets into decentralized markets. The companies said they conducted several rounds of technical discussions covering asset integration, yield modeling and risk management before introducing the strategy. FinChain CEO Zhao Chen described the partnership as an effort to combine traditional asset-management practices with blockchain-based financial infrastructure. Plume CEO Chris Yin emphasized the importance of developing practical financial applications for tokenized assets rather than focusing exclusively on issuance. Following the launch, assets deposited into FLEX & FINO are expected to be reflected in Plume's Partner Protocol and Nest Protocol.

FinChain's FUSD Reserve Backing

According to akta.pro company records, FinChain launched FUSD in February 2026 on Avalanche's C-Chain, backed by tokenized US Treasury bills and money market funds from Taikang Asset Management Hong Kong and ChinaAMC. The same records list Taikang Asset Management Hong Kong, ChinaAMC and BNY Mellon as tier-one reserve asset custodians providing money market fund reserves backing FUSD's 100%+ over-collateralization. FinChain also formed a strategic partnership with Avalanche in February 2026 to develop institutional-grade RWA tokenization across Asia.

RWA Lending Products Across The Sector

Sentora became the first external curator for Aave V4 on Ethereum on October 23, 2026, managing three isolated lending markets, Coingape reported. SoDEX integrated Morpho's USDC lending vault via Unified Labs the same day, according to The Fintech Times. TradingView reported on November 1, 2026 that Aave's Equities Hub allows eligible non-U.S. investors to borrow USDC against selected Coinbase tokenized U.S. equities. The Paypers reported on October 21, 2026 that Tempo Earn added Hastra-minted PRIME and wYLDS, with PRIME offering an indicative APY of about 7%.

FinChain's KuCoin Integration

FinChain also announced that it had completed an integration with cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, allowing FUSD to participate in the exchange's RCMS staking mirror solution. The integration is intended to expand FUSD's potential use in institutional collateral arrangements.
