Versasec has launched vSEC:CMS 7.5, adding post-quantum HSM migration support, native Thales SAS PCE integration and automated fleet management for YubiKey Bio tokens. The Swedish credential management company announced the release on November 4, 2026, according to PRLog. The software is available immediately to current customers under active maintenance agreements and for new enterprise evaluations.

Versasec's Post-Quantum and Thales Additions

vSEC:CMS 7.5 lets organizations upgrade to quantum-safe hardware security modules while keeping keys protected and daily operations running without interruption during the migration, Versasec said. The company said the feature addresses the need to move certificate authorities, operational credentials and root keys to quantum-compliant hardware as industry standards shift toward quantum-resistant algorithms.

The release also adds native support for Thales SafeNet Authentication Service Private Cloud Edition (SAS PCE). Versasec said the integration is tailored for regulated and defense industries and organizations with strict data residency or air-gapped requirements. It lets IT administrators bind device-bound passkeys directly to their on-premises Thales identity platform, providing centralized credential control and policy enforcement within localized security perimeters.

For the YubiKey Bio Multi-protocol Edition, vSEC:CMS 7.5 introduces lifecycle management intended to reduce the administrative load of deploying biometric security keys across enterprise fleets. "Enterprise IT teams are tasked with two critical mandates: laying the groundwork for post-quantum cryptographic resilience and eliminating the day-to-day administrative burden of managing diverse authentication fleets," said Joakim Thorén, CEO of Versasec. "With vSEC:CMS 7.5, we deliver on both fronts. We provide security leaders with a validated path to quantum-safe HSMs, expanded integration with trusted on-prem identity platforms like Thales SAS PCE, and the automation necessary to deploy high-assurance biometric hardware at global scale."

Versasec's Earlier Platform Releases

Versasec released vSEC:CMS 7.3 in April 2026 with codeless Microsoft Sentinel integration, expanded Thales and HID token support, and zero-touch YubiKey pre-registration, according to akta.pro company records. In December 2025 the company integrated Yubico's FIDO Pre-reg managed service into both vSEC:CMS and vSEC:CLOUD to enable zero-touch enterprise YubiKey deployment. The same records show Versasec was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Stockholm.

Versasec vSEC:CMS 7.5 Availability

Versasec said vSEC:CMS 7.5 is available immediately for current customers under active maintenance agreements and for new enterprise evaluations. The company directs organizations to its website for more information.
