Robbins LLP informed investors of a class action filed on behalf of purchasers of lululemon athletica inc. securities between March 18, 2026 and September 3, 2026, according to Business Wire. The complaint alleges Lululemon concealed declining product demand and overstated its turnaround plan.
What the Lululemon Complaint Alleges
Lululemon designs, distributes and retails technical athletic apparel, footwear and accessories for women and men. The complaint alleges the company did not disclose that store traffic and product demand were deteriorating amid negative media and social-media commentary and softer-than-planned new product launches. It also alleges the company downplayed those issues and overstated the strength of its turnaround plan, particularly in North America and Mainland China.
According to the complaint, Lululemon reported Q2 2026 net revenue of approximately $2.42 billion on September 3, 2026, missing consensus estimates by roughly $40 million. The company also cut FY 2026 guidance to net revenue of $10.350 billion to $10.500 billion, a decline of 5% to 7%, from prior guidance of $11.000 billion to $11.150 billion. Diluted EPS guidance moved to $9.48 to $9.73 from $10.95 to $11.15.
On the same day's earnings call, the complaint says, Lululemon disclosed continued negative commentary affecting customer traffic and softer-than-planned responses to new product launches, primarily in its Mainland China segment and compounded by commentary after an event on the Great Wall of China. Lululemon's stock fell $21.16 per share, or 17.38%, to close at $100.61 on September 4, 2026.
"Companies have an obligation to provide investors with complete and accurate information so that markets can function fairly and efficiently," said Brian J. Robbins, Founding Partner of Robbins LLP.
