Clinimed Puts 3D and Augmented Reality Models on More Than 40 Cannula Product Pages

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Clinimed now opens more than 40 product pages with a 3D model of the cannula tip instead of a flat photo.
  • The models are built from the CAD drawings the cannulas are manufactured from, according to COO Zan Saber.
  • The range covers aspiration, fat harvesting, infiltration and re-injection cannulas, including the H. Becker basket, Mercedes and the NANO, MICRO, MILLI and MACRO harvesters.

Clinimed has replaced flat photos with 3D and augmented reality models of its liposuction cannulas on more than 40 product pages, the company announced on October 31, 2026. The manufacturer said surgeons can rotate and zoom each model on screen or place the cannula life-size in a room through a phone camera. PRLog published the announcement.

How the Clinimed Cannula Models Work

Each Clinimed product page now opens with a 3D model of the cannula tip in place of a flat photo. Visitors can turn and zoom the model to see the shape of the tip and how the ports are arranged around the shaft. On iPhone, iPad and most Android phones, one tap places the cannula life-size in the room through the camera, with no app required. On a computer, a scannable code opens the same page on the visitor's phone.

Every model is built directly from the computer-aided design drawings that the cannulas are manufactured from. "A 3D model is only accurate if the product is made exactly to its drawing," said Zan Saber, COO of Clinimed. "Our cannulas are made to order from precise CAD drawings on modern manufacturing equipment, so what a surgeon sees in 3D is what arrives in the box."

The models cover aspiration, fat harvesting, infiltration and re-injection cannulas, including the H. Becker basket, Mercedes and the NANO, MICRO, MILLI and MACRO harvesters, with more being added. Clinimed has made reusable liposuction and fat grafting instruments since 1978. Its cannulas are made of 304 stainless steel, electrochemically polished inside and out, and made to order in the diameter, length and hub the surgeon needs, including MicroAire PAL compatible and Nouvag Liposurg compatible hubs. The company is FDA registered and ISO 13485 certified.
