BASF has introduced Voraxor herbicide and Zidua PLUS herbicide as 2027 weed-control tools for variable field conditions, the company said. The products target tough weeds including PPO-resistant Palmer amaranth and waterhemp, according to B2B Marketplace.
How Voraxor and Zidua PLUS Work
Voraxor uses the new active ingredient trifludimoxizan for fast burndown of tough weeds, with results in days rather than weeks. The herbicide delivers consistent control of problematic weeds such as marestail, henbit, kochia and pigweed, and also demonstrates efficacy on PPO-resistant species including Palmer amaranth and waterhemp.
Zidua PLUS can be applied before or after crop emergence in soybean fields, with no fear of burn across trait or soil type. The product manages large- and small-seeded broadleaf weeds and grasses, including waterhemp, Palmer amaranth, redroot pigweed, foxtails and barnyard grass, and maintains more than 95 per cent control after 60 days on key problem species.
"Voraxor herbicide allows farmers to stay ahead of tough weeds and delivers fast, consistent burndown," said Josh Putman, Technical Marketing Manager at BASF Agricultural Solutions. "By delivering solutions with consistent performance against tough grasses and broadleaf weeds, BASF helps farmers do the Biggest Job on Earth."
Matt Inman, also a Technical Marketing Manager at BASF Agricultural Solutions, said: "We're excited to enhance the tools farmers can use in their soybean fields. Zidua PLUS herbicide is available for pre- or post-emergence application for flexibility and season-long adaptability to changing field conditions."
