Key takeaways
- Kreatis Japan presented a promotion poster for AMiCl-BD at the CBI Society 2026 annual meeting at Tower Hall Funabori in Tokyo from October 26 to 29.
- AMiCl-BD uses Random Forest and Support Vector Machine algorithms with MACCS Key fingerprint descriptors to predict readily-biodegradable or not readily-biodegradable classification.
- Kreatis Japan was established in Tokyo in April 2026 as the first overseas subsidiary of the French-based company Kreatis.
Kreatis Japan presented a promotion poster for AMiCl-BD, a biodegradability prediction module within its iSafeRat QSAR software, at the CBI Society 2026 annual meeting at Tower Hall Funabori in Tokyo from October 26 to 29, according to Prtimes. The poster is at P04-15 in the first-floor exhibition hall.
AMiCl-BD Module and Its Prediction Methods
AMiCl-BD, short for Aerobic Microbial Classification of BioDegradation, is a ready-biodegradability QSAR model compliant with the OECD's QSAR Assessment Framework. It is composed of two independent algorithms, Random Forest and Support Vector Machine. The module uses MACCS Key fingerprint as a descriptor to predict binary classification: readily-biodegradable or not readily-biodegradable. It also assesses the Applicability Domain and computes a reliability score called the Reliability Index of Prediction, or RIP.
Many other biodegradability QSAR software do not allow users to customize the indices of prediction reliability, but in AMiCl-BD, users can choose MACCS Key or PubChem fingerprint for the calculation of similarity. New functionality will be implemented to find analogues from user-imported databases in the future. QMRF and QPRF are available. The promotion poster presents the predictivity performance of AMiCl-BD.
The promotion poster format, which started from this year's CBI meeting, differs from the ordinary poster presentation in that not only academic posters but also commercial posters such as product advertisements are admitted.
Kreatis Product and Partnership Record
According to akta.pro company records, Kreatis released the MechoA+ profiler in April 2026 as a free add-in to the OECD QSAR Toolbox, featuring 152 structural alerts covering about 80% of more than 70,000 substances, in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University. The same records list a partnership with the OECD, with the MechoA+ profiler now available as a free add-in to the OECD QSAR Toolbox, recognition from the OECD for the MechoA profiler being included in the official Toolbox, and collaboration with ECHA on Toolbox development. Kreatis also updated the CLASS skin sensitisation model in September 2024 to meet QSAR Assessment Framework requirements and presented it at EUROTOX2024, and announced iSafeRat Desktop v4.3 and the SafePAC application in July 2024.
Kreatis Japan's Tokyo Establishment
Kreatis Japan was established in Tokyo in April 2026 as the first overseas subsidiary of the French-based company Kreatis. In addition to selling iSafeRat licenses, Kreatis provides support on QPRF, the QSAR Prediction Reporting Format, and training on in silico tools, according to its website.
