By ·

Key takeaways

  • Republic Claims Associates secured public adjuster licenses in Washington, D.C., Delaware, Vermont, Maryland and Florida on October 19, 2026.
  • The firm holds principal offices in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and operates an affiliate network reaching property owners nationwide.

Republic Claims Associates, a Manhattan public adjuster, secured licenses in Washington, D.C., Delaware, Vermont, Maryland and Florida, the firm said on October 19, 2026. GlobeNewswire carried the announcement. The licenses let the firm represent homeowners and business owners directly in all five jurisdictions on property insurance claims for fire, water, storm and theft losses.

What the Five Licenses Cover

Republic Claims Associates handles property claims only, representing owners of homes, co-ops, condominiums, apartment buildings and commercial properties. It does not handle auto claims. Its work covers fire and smoke damage, water damage from burst or broken pipes, wind, storm and flood damage, burglary and vandalism losses, business interruption and loss of rents, and emergency temporary relocation for displaced occupants.

Most states require a public adjuster to hold a license where the damaged property sits. The firm said the rule matters for Manhattan residents and business owners who also own a second home in Florida, a rental unit in Maryland or commercial space in Washington, D.C. Until now, a loss at one of those properties often meant hiring a new adjuster in an unfamiliar market.

"People who own property in more than one state shouldn't have to start over with a stranger every time something goes wrong," said Frank Rivela, SPPA, founder of Republic Claims Associates. "We've been fighting for policyholders for 43 years. These licenses mean our clients in Manhattan, and everywhere else we work, can call us no matter where the damage happened."

The expansion adds to the firm's principal offices in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It also strengthens a network of affiliate offices that already reaches property owners across the United States. On each claim, the firm inspects and documents the damage, reviews the policy language, prepares a detailed estimate and negotiates with the carrier on the owner's behalf. It charges a percentage of the final settlement.

Republic Claims Associates' Record and Reach

According to akta.pro company records, Republic Claims Associates was founded in 1990 and built a 47-state affiliate network covering the U.S. from New York to California, with principal offices in NY, NJ and PA. The same records list a scale indicator of over $500 million in claims settled, and another of more than 100 million cases settled throughout the United States. The records also list a 1990 product launch, the proprietary "Guaranteed Settlement Satisfaction" program, described as a first in the industry offering expedited claims handling and guaranteed maximum recovery.

What Comes Next for the Firm

Frank Rivela holds the Senior Professional Public Adjuster designation. Republic Claims Associates is a member of the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters and has handled more than $1 billion in property insurance claims. The firm operates offices in Staten Island and Hampton Bays, New York; Woodbridge, New Jersey; and Bristol, Pennsylvania.
