Key takeaways

  • Caparol signed a strategic agreement with Nasib Industrial Products in Kenya to double production capacity in the country.
  • Dirk Schilmoeller, Managing Director Middle East & Africa, said Kenya's development over the past year exceeded the company's expectations.
  • Caparol opened a dedicated Africa office in 2025 and plans to explore West Africa in the next phase.

Caparol, the German premium paints and coatings brand, has signed a strategic agreement with Nasib Industrial Products in Kenya and, with its local partners, will double production capacity in the country to meet rising demand across East Africa. EIN Presswire reported the agreement.

Caparol's Kenya Manufacturing and Distribution Push

The agreement expands Caparol's local production, distribution and market presence, and positions Kenya as a manufacturing and supply hub for neighbouring markets. It builds on the dedicated Africa office Caparol opened in 2025, which has led the company's regional business development since.

"Africa represents one of the most exciting long-term growth opportunities for Caparol. The development we have seen in Kenya over the past year has exceeded our expectations and clearly demonstrates the potential for our brand and product portfolio across the continent," said Dirk Schilmoeller, the Managing Director Middle East & Africa, Caparol.

Growth in Kenya has been fueled by Caparol's Africa product assortment, developed to combine German quality standards with the requirements of African markets. The range has gained traction in both professional and retail channels, and Caparol has secured a growing number of major residential, commercial and hospitality projects across the country.

"Our strengthened partnership with Nasib Industrial Products Ltd is an important milestone in this journey. We are building a scalable business platform that allows us to grow beyond Kenya, expand our reach across East Africa and, in the next phase, explore opportunities in West Africa," stated Schilmoeller.

"Our ambition is to establish Caparol as a leading premium paints and coatings brand across key African markets," he added.

The planned capacity increase will support continued growth in Kenya and allow more efficient supply to neighbouring East African countries. Local manufacturing will also improve product availability and shorten supply chains.

"The decision to significantly increase our production capacity reflects our confidence in the long-term potential of the African market," stated Schilmoeller.

"We are investing ahead of demand to ensure that our infrastructure, product availability and local capabilities can support the next phase of our expansion," he added.

Caparol's Robotics, E-Commerce and Sports Moves

According to akta.pro company records, Caparol launched Paint Buddy in 2026, a robotic spray-painting system intended to automate and modernize professional painting trade work, its first step into robotics for application rather than materials. The same records show a May 2026 partnership with sportswear brand JAKO covering the Caparol Club World Cup 2026 fan-shirt promotion, extending Caparol's reach into consumer-facing sports sponsorships beyond the B2B tradesman channel. Caparol also expanded its digital sales channel in 2026 via the Caparol Shop e-commerce storefront and complementary Productfinder, Caparol Icons and Caparol Club microsites, broadening reach from trade distribution into direct SMB and consumer transactions.

Sherwin-Williams and Asian Paints Partnerships

Thumbtack announced a national partnership with Sherwin-Williams on October 8, 2026, connecting painting pros with homeowners, with eligible Sherwin-Williams PRO+ customers able to receive up to $400 in free and discounted leads through the program, Business Wire Blog reported. Asian Paints Causeway's röyale INFINITY luxury interior emulsion partnered with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week 2026 as Official Colour Partner for the event held 7-11 October, Lankatalks reported.
