Addverb Develops Proprietary Warehouse AI Model and Reports Commercial Orders for Elixis-W Humanoid

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Addverb generates about 1,000 hours of robot data every week to train its proprietary Vision-Language-Action model for warehouse tasks.
  • The Elixis-W wheeled humanoid stands about 180 cm tall, weighs 210 kg, carries a 10 kg payload and runs for roughly two hours.
  • Addverb recorded approximately ₹800 crore in revenue in FY2024-25 and targets more than ₹1,300 crore in FY2026-27.

Addverb is developing a proprietary Vision-Language-Action model for warehouse applications and has secured commercial orders for its Elixis-W wheeled humanoid robot, CEO and co-founder Sangeet Kumar said in an interview with BW Disrupt. The company recorded approximately ₹800 crore in revenue in FY2024-25 and targets more than ₹1,300 crore in FY2026-27.

How Addverb's Warehouse AI Model Works

Addverb generates about 1,000 hours of robot data every week to train and improve its systems for real-world environments, Kumar said. The proprietary model processes inputs from multiple cameras, interprets instructions and translates them into robot movements. Its training combines visual reasoning, knowledge distillation from a larger AI model and motion data captured through robot demonstrations.

"Our larger goal is to develop robots that can learn new tasks through demonstrations rather than requiring extensive reprogramming, making them more adaptable to changing warehouse environments," Kumar said.

Addverb is also adapting open models to warehouse-specific tasks. Work with π0.7 from Physical Intelligence includes bolt packing and Ethernet cable insertion, using low-rank adaptation and fine-tuning of its motion network. With Cosmos 3 from NVIDIA, the company is exploring bolt pick-up and box packing, using the model's ability to reason about scenes and generate predicted video sequences alongside corresponding actions.

Elixis-W is designed for industrial applications and measures approximately 180 cm in height, weighs 210 kg, has a payload capacity of 10 kg, a maximum speed of 1.5 metres per second and an operating duration of approximately two hours. Kumar said Addverb has secured commercial orders for the robot but declined to disclose order numbers or unit volumes due to contractual confidentiality obligations.

Addverb's Elixis-W Launch and Funding Record

According to akta.pro company records, Addverb commercially launched Elixis-W in February 2026 as India's first Made-in-India wheeled humanoid robot for industrial use, with planned production of 100 units in year one scaling to 2,000 by year three. The same records show the company secured $132 million from Reliance Industries in a February 2022 Series B round and is seeking over $100 million in new funding for humanoid robot development and expansion.

Earlier Addverb Humanoid and Partnership Moves

Addverb marked 10 years of operations in June 2026 and announced a major push into humanoid robotics with the planned launch of its walking humanoid robot Elixis later that year, Bisinfotech reported. In July 2026, Financial Express reported that Addverb plans to launch a fully two-legged humanoid robot by the end of 2026. Crnasia reported in May 2026 that Nagarro and Addverb signed an MoU to develop and deploy robotic automation and digital twin solutions for warehouses, manufacturing and industrial operations.

Addverb's Two-Legged Humanoid Timeline

Addverb plans to launch a fully two-legged humanoid robot by the end of 2026, with customer trials and proof-of-concept deployments scheduled for 2025, according to Financial Express.
