Monte Carlo's H1 FY27 Revenue and Loss

Operating EBITDA for the six months ended September 2026 fell 56.8% to ₹15.4 crore from ₹35.7 crore a year earlier. Monte Carlo attributed the profitability pressure to higher material and employee costs, increased operating costs and lower other income.

Gross sales rose 13.8% to ₹627.4 crore, led by the cotton segment, which grew 21.8% and accounted for 63.4% of gross sales against 59.2% a year earlier. Home textiles and kidswear sales grew 10.4% and 12.5%, while footwear sales rose 91.6% from a low base.

In the second quarter, revenue rose 5.5% year on year to ₹262.4 crore and operating EBITDA declined 31.7% to ₹28.4 crore. Monte Carlo reported profit after tax of ₹1.2 crore for the quarter.

Monte Carlo said the first-half performance was affected by festive demand and winterwear sales shifting into the third quarter, which accounted for 47% of annual revenue in FY26. Net debt excluding lease liabilities rose to ₹302 crore as of September 2026 from ₹74.2 crore at the end of March 2026, reflecting seasonal working-capital needs, and capital expenditure was ₹33.16 crore in the half.
