Talabat's Award for the Sorati App

Academy X is described as Kuwait's largest women's empowerment initiative in technology and entrepreneurship. CODED Academy runs the program, which gives young Kuwaiti women aged 14-25 hands-on learning in app and web development, UI/UX design, leadership, soft skills and entrepreneurial fundamentals. The ceremony featured a speech from the Academy X team and remarks from all program sponsors, and recognized winning teams in each category after a voting process.

Talabat presented the "talabat Award for Best Tech Innovation in Food" to the Sorati project, built by Fajer Maitham Kamal, Aryam Reyadh Alshammari, Fajer Alsayed Mahdi Ameen, Hawraa Alenzi and Khadija Ali Almohammed. Sorati is an AI-powered app that tracks the calories and macronutrients of Kuwaiti dishes and food products from a photo or voice note, and connects users with local nutritionists.
