Bridger Photonics was named to the Top 50 in the Technology category of the OnCon Icon Awards, an honor decided by peer and public vote, the company said in a November 3 announcement. The Bozeman, Montana-based company provides aerial methane detection using its Gas Mapping LiDAR technology for oil and gas operators, midstream companies and utilities. The announcement was distributed by GlobeNewswire.
Bridger Photonics' 2026 Awards and Product Rollout
The OnCon recognition adds to a year of industry awards for Bridger Photonics. In April, CleanTech Breakthrough named Bridger its Overall Energy Technology Company of the Year for the second consecutive year. The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma gave Bridger its Excellence in Environmental Stewardship Award, and at the Methane Mitigation Summit Series Tech and Innovation Summit the company received the Industry Partnership Award alongside Coterra, now Devon Energy.
Bridger said 2026 also brought new products and markets. The company launched Bridger Command, an emissions intelligence platform that puts methane data and analytics to work across operator teams, and expanded into renewable natural gas with Bridger for RNG, which delivers full-site methane visibility across landfill, wastewater and agriculture. It introduced Bridger Benchmarking, described as the first emissions peer comparison product built on source-level measurement, and earned New Mexico approval as an alternative to required LDAR surveys.
Bridger also grew its global footprint, including a partnership with Cleanaway Waste Management in Australia and the appointment of Bruno Gama and Dave Turner to lead European and APAC expansion. EQT signed a deal to end Cleanaway's 21-year ASX listing, with an announcement expected on the morning of October 18, 2026, involving a $9.4 billion bid, according to EIN Presswire.
"This has been a year of proof: new products in operators' hands, new markets, and new regulatory approvals. I'm proud of a team that keeps raising the bar for what measurement-based methane management can do," said Bridger COO Joel Baller.
Bridger Photonics' Funding and Customer Growth
Bridger raised $55 million in September 2022 from a Montana-based syndicate led by Beaverhead Partners LLC to fund development of its methane detection technology, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show 2024 was the company's strongest year, marked by record asset coverage, record revenue and expanded global adoption across six countries, with customer growth of over 30% and multiple eight-figure contracts.
Bridger said operators using its data have reported results including PG&E saving more than $1 million in a single year, as much as a 90% reduction in miles driven, over $19 million in gas loss recapture and a 67% reduction in LDAR efforts for compliance use cases. The average Bridger customer is seeing a 35% reduction in total emissions based on recent Bridger data, the company said.
