Digicust hired Alexander Miklautz as Head of Global Partnerships & Events effective November 1, 2026, the Vienna-based AI company said in a Presseportal release. Miklautz was previously Head of Marketing at PwC Österreich. He takes over a newly created role rather than succeeding a named predecessor, and reports into CEO Matthias Pfeiler.

Miklautz's Mandate at Digicust

Miklautz will develop the partner network and joint market-entry and sales initiatives, according to the release. Digicust is positioning strategic partnerships as a growth channel alongside direct enterprise sales. The focus is cooperation with customs software providers, consulting and implementation partners, technology companies and industry organizations.

"Our partners know the local markets, the existing systems and the requirements of their customers," Pfeiler said in the release. "With Alexander we gain an experienced expert who combines strategic marketing, business development and network building."

Miklautz will further develop a structured partner program with cooperation models, joint market plans and training and marketing offers for partners. Trade events and industry formats are intended to support new cooperations. Before PwC Österreich, he worked at Wolf Theiss, Forbes, XING and Mediaplanet, the release said.

"Customs processes connect markets worldwide, but their practical implementation requires a deep understanding of local procedures and requirements," Miklautz said in the release. "That is exactly where the strength of a good partner network lies."

Digicust's Funding and Partner Base

Digicust closed a €2.3 million pre-Series A round in December 2025 led by Jet Investment, with €950,000 from Jet Venture 1 and €250,000 from Look AI Ventures, according to akta.pro company records. Austria Wirtschaftsservice and private investors also participated. The same records list PwC, Austria Wirtschaftsservice and Startport as partners on Digicust's website, and count 60+ corporate customers across more than six European markets as of December 2025.
