SML Mahindra October Sales Edge Up 1% as Passenger Vehicle Volumes Fall 3%

SML Mahindra reported total vehicle sales of 1,065 units in October 2026, a 1% increase from the 1,059 units sold in October 2025, according to ScanX. Cumulative sales for April to October FY27 reached 10,405 units, up 13% from 9,204 units in the corresponding period of FY26. The company disclosed the figures in a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

SML Mahindra's Cargo and Passenger Split

Cargo vehicle sales rose 5% in October 2026 to 532 units from 507 units a year earlier, and rose 5% for April-October to 3,066 units from 2,929 units. Passenger vehicle volumes increased 17% year-to-date to 7,339 units from 6,275 units, but October passenger sales fell 3% to 533 units from 552 units. The passenger segment accounted for the bulk of the seven-month growth, while the monthly decline ran against that trend. SML Mahindra builds commercial vehicles, including buses and trucks, and is listed on Indian exchanges.

SML Mahindra's Sales Record Through 2026

SML Mahindra dispatched 1,124 units in September, up 18% year-on-year, NDTV Profit reported on October 1, 2026. SML Mahindra's board approved the acquisition of the Truck and Bus Division from Mahindra & Mahindra for ₹525 crore, and the transaction is expected to close on or before January 31, 2027, subject to customary closing conditions, the company said in its Q2FY27 results.
