GainTools has launched GainTools Office 365 Backup Software 2.0, a release that adds selective folder backup and export to PST, EML, EMLX, MSG, MBOX, HTML and MHTML. The company announced the update on October 27, 2026, according to PRLog.
What GainTools Office 365 Backup 2.0 Does
GainTools built version 2.0 so users can pick which folders in an Office 365 mailbox to back up rather than processing everything, which the company said helps them save only the required emails and mailbox items. The software preserves the original mailbox hierarchy during backup and keeps email attachments, formatting, folder information and other mailbox attributes on export.
Bulk mailbox backup covers data from multiple Office 365 mailboxes, a feature the company said suits organizations with multiple accounts. The backup process can be paused and resumed at any time during long operations, and the interface is designed so users can set up a backup without advanced technical knowledge. The tool supports 19 languages.
