How Robinsons Malls Cut Its Grid Power Use
Robinsons Malls, the commercial centers division of Robinsons Land Corp., operates 57 shopping malls across the Philippines with 1.7 million square meters of retail space and more than 120 million visits annually, according to akta.pro company records. The division said the avoided grid imports came from energy efficiency and conservation efforts across its network.
Maria Kristina Real-Lim, Robinsons Malls deputy business unit general manager, said the company incorporated energy efficiency into building design and operations through energy-saving technologies and participation in government conservation programs. "This recognition from the Department of Energy affirms our commitment to continuously improve how we manage our resources and operate our malls," Real-Lim said. She added that the measures seek to reduce energy use while maintaining shoppers' comfort, safety, and convenience.
