Jackson's Fixed Index Accumulation Suite
Jackson launched Jackson Fixed Index Accumulation and Jackson Fixed Index Accumulation Advisory, fixed index annuities that protect retirement savings while providing growth potential. The commission-based and fee-based versions each offer 5- and 7-year options. Jackson also introduced Jackson Protection Advantage, a 10-year contract offered directly to independent agents.
The suite provides five index options that can be allocated in any combination: the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq-100, Russell 2000 and MSCI EAFE. Jackson will not restrict which index options can be selected with each crediting method. Four crediting methods are available, including guaranteed cap and guaranteed performance trigger methods that lock in a rate for the duration of the 5-, 7- or 10-year withdrawal charge and market value adjustment period, plus non-guaranteed cap and non-guaranteed performance trigger methods.
Higher caps and rates apply on larger premium amounts. Alongside the $0 to $99,999 and $100,000 or more rate bands, the product includes an additional crediting band for contracts with $500,000 or more in premium. An embedded guaranteed minimum accumulation benefit guarantees the contract value will not be less than 100% of premiums paid, adjusted for withdrawals, at the end of the withdrawal charge and market value adjustment period.
"This product suite offers financial professionals and their clients meaningful flexibility through five available indices and four different crediting methods," said Alison Reed, EVP, Head of Distribution, Jackson National Life Distributors LLC.
Jackson also announced updates to its single premium immediate annuity, Jackson SPIA, available in all states except New York, with additional income options including joint continuation and installment refund options. "The refresh of our SPIA product gives financial professionals more ways to structure income around each client's priorities," said Matt Lemieux, Head of Product & Advanced Planning Solutions, JNLD.
