Maynilad Water Services Inc. Has allocated P27.5 billion in capital expenditures for 2027 to strengthen water security and cut nonrevenue water, the Inquirer reported on November 6, 2026. The west zone water and wastewater provider reported net income of P12.6 billion for the first nine months of 2026, up from P11.4 billion a year earlier.

Maynilad's 2027 Spending Plan and Nine-Month Results

Maynilad is the water and wastewater services provider for the west zone, covering 17 cities and towns in Metro Manila and Cavite. Chief financial officer Ricardo Delos Reyes told reporters at a media briefing that the company has "no concerns" that extreme hot weather would affect its financial performance. "We don't expect that our revenues or our expenses will be affected next year," he said.

Consolidated revenues for the nine months rose 3.5 percent to P28.6 billion from P27.7 billion, driven by operational improvements, stronger billed volume and customer base expansion. Billed connections grew 1.5 percent to 1.59 million. From January to September, Maynilad invested P19.5 billion, 5 percent higher than the previous P18.6 billion, to strengthen water and wastewater infrastructure, network efficiency, network reliability and production facilities.

Delos Reyes acknowledged rising public concern about El Niño, which includes a potential drought in some provinces, and said Maynilad is "very well prepared for that." President and CEO Ramoncito Fernandez said in a statement: "While water supply risks and elevated inflation continue to shape the operating environment, we remain focused on strengthening our water supply resilience and improving network reliability." Fernandez added that sustained investments in infrastructure and operational efficiency are intended to support growing demand, improve service delivery, and create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.

Maynilad's Earlier Deals and Pipeline Work

In October 2026, Manila Water and Maynilad were discussing a water-sharing arrangement for emergencies, with Manila Water having excess capacity, and Maynilad had not finalized any agreement, EIN Presswire reported. In August 2026, Maynilad's board approved new investments in a public-private partnership with Korea Water Resources Corp. And the Bases Conversion and Development Authority in New Clark City, according to a regulatory disclosure filed on Thursday, Inquirer reported. Also in August 2026, InsiderPH reported that Maynilad had replaced over 3,293 kilometers of pipelines in its West Zone concession since 2006, with physical losses from leaking pipes accounting for 90% of its non-revenue water.

Maynilad's Next Steps

Maynilad's 2027 capital expenditure program follows its P19.5 billion investment in the first nine months of 2026. The company said the 2027 outlay would mainly finance efforts to bolster water security and lower nonrevenue water.
