Stewart Information Services Appoints MC Bancshares COO Michael Brown as Director

Stewart Information Services Corporation appointed Michael Brown, chief operating officer and a director of MC Bancshares, to its board of directors, the company announced on November 5, 2026. The Houston-based real estate services company disclosed the appointment in a PR Newswire release. Brown's prior role was president of regional banking at First Horizon Corporation.

Brown has been chief operating officer and a director of MC Bancshares, a bank holding company, since its acquisition of DMMS Holdings in May 2026. From November 2025, he was chief operating officer of DMMS Holdings, a holding company formed to build a regional banking franchise. He also sits on the boards of Amerisafe since November 2014 and MC Bank and Trust Company since May 2026, and was previously a director of Red River Bancshares from January 2024 to November 2025.

At First Horizon, Brown served as president of regional banking from July 2020, when the company completed its merger with IBERIABANK, until his retirement on December 31, 2021. From September 2009 until July 2020, he was vice chairman and chief operating officer of IBERIABANK, managing its retail and commercial banking operations. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University, a Master of Business Administration from Tulane University and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Chief Executive Officer Fred Eppinger said Brown's experience in finance, banking and insurance would strengthen the board as the company executes its strategy. Stewart Information Services offers title insurance, closing and settlement services and products for the mortgage industry through its direct operations and network of Stewart Trusted Providers, according to its website.

Brown's Banking Career Before Stewart

Brown's executive roles span regional banking and insurance. He was vice chairman and chief operating officer of IBERIABANK from September 2009 until July 2020, and president of regional banking at First Horizon from July 2020 until his retirement on December 31, 2021. His board service includes Amerisafe since November 2014, Red River Bancshares from January 2024 to November 2025, and MC Bank and Trust Company since May 2026.
