What The Alberta Data Centre Tracker Shows
The tracker covers projects ranging from the Meta facility under construction in Sturgeon County to proposals in Yellowhead County and the Wonder Valley project in the MD of Greenview. As of November 3, 2026, it lists 23 projects, 131 news stories and 2 projects under construction. Each project record shows status, location, budget and timeline, and every logged story is listed newest first.
Users can filter projects by status, region and size and view every project on a provincial map. A Go to the Source section links to primary sources, including the province's AI data centre site, the AESO large load connection list and the nine steps of an AUC review under Rule 007. It also links to the provincial guide for residents on public meetings, statements of concern and appeal deadlines.
Rachel Rae, reVerb's Director of Business Development, said: "Councils and proponents call us when an application lands. The first thing they want to know is what else is happening in the province." She added: "We were tracking it for our own work, so we opened it up. If your county has an application in front of it, or you're bringing one forward, we're happy to talk it through."
The tracker is updated weekly, and anyone can sign up for email updates when new projects, delays or approvals are posted. The tracker is published on reVerb's site.
