Jones Memorial Hospital Opens Outpatient Pharmacy Serving Patients, Staff and Public

Jones Memorial Hospital has opened an outpatient pharmacy on the first floor of its Wellsville hospital, giving patients, employees and the public access to prescriptions and an on-site pharmacist. Yahoo published the community announcement on November 5, 2026.

Inside the Jones Memorial Outpatient Pharmacy

The pharmacy sits between Urgent Care and the cafeteria and serves hospital inpatients as well as staff and the general public. It is fully integrated with MyChart and can communicate with University of Rochester medical staff, and vaccinations are expected to become available soon.

Patients being discharged can have medications delivered before they leave, and an on-site pharmacist is available. "This was a long process but we are proud to be able to offer pharmacy services to our community," Pharmacy Services Director Dan Sabins said. The pharmacy team also hopes to introduce delivery services gradually to the community. The pharmacy is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Jones Memorial Hospital is a 49-bed acute care, non-profit community hospital in Wellsville, New York, affiliated with University of Rochester Medicine. It serves over 300,000 patients annually across four rural counties with emergency, inpatient, surgical, maternity and specialty services, according to company records. The hospital was founded in 1921 and is led by President and CEO Eva Benedict.

Jones Memorial's MyChart and Quality Record

A grand opening celebration begins at 9 a.m. on November 17, with giveaways, snacks, information about the new service and a chance to meet pharmacy staff.
