The founders of Black Rock Coffee Bar are selling their 40-acre equestrian estate in Bend, Oregon, for $10.9 million, with the property coming to market on November 6 through Grant Ludwick of The Agency, Yahoo reported. Black Rock Coffee Bar is a Nasdaq-listed, company-owned drive-thru coffee chain with more than 190 locations across seven Western states, according to company records.

Inside the Bend Equestrian Estate

The 40-acre property centers on a 7,643-square-foot main home that was taken down to the studs in 2013 and redone by Norman Building & Design, with more than $1.4 million invested in recent updates. The great room is anchored by a Montana Moss stone fireplace and walls of glass framing a lake on the property and the Cascade mountains. The farmhouse kitchen pairs white cabinetry with a natural-wood island and a brick hood over the range, and the primary suite, one of four bedrooms, has a fireplace, a steam shower and a secluded deck with a six-person hot tub. The lower level holds a theater, wine cellar, gym, game room and wet bar.

The equestrian facility includes a barn with four finished horse stalls that can be expanded into eight, plus an upstairs entertaining space. An indoor arena is surrounded by glass, an outdoor arena is fully fenced, and the setup includes 12 individual paddocks and a 50-ton hay barn. Horse boarding and hay production currently bring in some $125,000 a year. A three-bedroom caretaker's cottage completes the offering.

The estate is one of the higher-priced homes to come up for sale in Oregon recently. An 18-acre riverfront property in the Rogue Valley was listed over the summer for $7.6 million, and a mansion along the Willamette River in Lake Oswego connected to the family behind Dave's Killer Bread hit the market for $10 million last year.
