IGT and MGM Springfield launched the first wide-area progressive slots games in Massachusetts on November 3, 2026, opening a dedicated Wheel of Fortune Slots Zone with 20 games whose jackpots reset from $200,000 to $1.125 million. PR Newswire announced the launch.

Wide-area progressive games sit on a network of connected slots whose jackpot pool grows as more players play, and the new zone at MGM Springfield places 20 of them on a range of IGT cabinets. The lineup includes Wheel of Fortune Big Money on the Trio cabinet, Cash Link Reels Double Diamond and Cash Link Reels Double Gold on the DiamondRS Wheel cabinet, Triple Gold Gold Spin on the MegaTower cabinet and Triple Stars Gold Spin Deluxe on the CrystalWheel Stepper cabinet.

"MGM Springfield is excited to continue our tradition of 'firsts,' by becoming the first casino in Massachusetts to offer players the chance to win life-changing jackpots on IGT's Wheel of Fortune slots games," said Ariam Aponte, MGM Springfield Vice President of Casino Operations. "Our recently opened Wheel of Fortune Zone differentiates MGM Springfield, features an exciting mix of slots experiences and offers jackpot opportunities that are new to players in Massachusetts."

Hector Fernandez, IGT CEO, said the launch "gives players a new way to experience Wheel of Fortune Slots as we mark its 30th anniversary." IGT first launched Wheel of Fortune slots in 1996, and the games have paid out more than $3.6 billion in jackpots and created more than 1,200 millionaires across more than 300 variations, according to the company. IGT holds an exclusive licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television to produce Wheel of Fortune slots through 2034.

IGT's Earlier Wheel of Fortune Launches

According to akta.pro company records, IGT began a Wheel of Fortune Slots 30th Anniversary campaign in January 2026 with new game titles, in-casino events, influencer collaborations and a Carnival Cruise "Spin and Sail" promotion carrying a $1 million prize pool. The same records show IGT launched the omnichannel Vive Las Vegas Lounge with Casino de Buenos Aires in May 2026, pairing 60 IGT electronic gaming machines with online PlayDigital titles.
