iboss announced AI DLP, data loss prevention that reads content in real time with AI/ML to detect, flag and block sensitive data without relying on data labels, on November 3, 2026. PR Newswire published the announcement. The product is available in private preview in December 2026.

How iboss AI DLP Reads Content

AI DLP inspects the content itself rather than depending on regex, pattern matching and data labels, which find only data that fits a pattern written in advance or carries the right label. The company said sensitive data leaves through a file shared to a cloud drive, a form posted to a web app, or source code pasted into AI tools, and much of it has no fixed format, so rules looking for an account number or ID string let it pass. A file that is mislabeled or never labeled falls outside a label-based policy.

AI/ML classification and deep content inspection read what the data contains as it moves, and file analysis and OCR read documents and the text inside images. Where Microsoft Information Protection labels exist, AI DLP also reads and enforces them inline. Policies set by user, group and department detect, flag or block source code, customer data, PII and intellectual property in real time, with a full audit trail, and the same policies cover AI platforms and tools so teams can keep sensitive data out of AI without banning the tools. The policies also apply when AI agents move data, with control over which AI services, tools and APIs agents may use, and agent activity is retained. AI DLP adds data-loss risk scoring and one-click GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and SOX reports.

"Data labels are a challenge for DLP. Files get mislabeled, and data that is never labeled leaks," said Paul Martini, CEO and Co-Founder of iboss. "AI DLP reads the content itself in real time, without relying on labels, wherever it is headed. We can solve that problem and plug that hole immediately."

AI DLP runs on the iboss containerized architecture, with each customer's traffic processed in dedicated containers with isolated SSL keys and dedicated IPs, and customer data never co-mingled. It works alongside the iboss Secure Web Gateway, CASB, GenAI Protection and Zero Trust Network Access, with one console, one policy engine and one data lake.

iboss Product Record Before AI DLP

According to akta.pro company records, iboss launched an AI-Powered CASB at RSA Conference in March 2026 featuring signatureless application discovery, real-time DOM-level enforcement, AI conversation capture and shadow AI discovery. In January 2026 the company integrated AI-powered SaaS Security Posture Management into its Zero Trust SASE platform, adding continuous API-based misconfiguration and exposure detection across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, Okta and Box. The same records list deep product integrations with the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Information Protection labels, Purview inline data discovery and Copilot monitoring and DLP.

Earlier iboss Launches and Recognition

In July 2026, iboss launched the AI Security Platform, offering free visibility into AI tools and usage across multiple services, tracking prompts, sessions and risk in real time, with paid tiers enabling policy enforcement and data leak prevention, Help Net Security reported. In October 2026, iboss was named a Leader in the GigaOm Radar for Zero Trust Network Access, with its platform integrating AI defenses, data protection and application control, PR Newswire reported.

AI DLP Webinar and Preview Date

iboss will show AI DLP in a live demo webinar, Live Demo: AI DLP That Stops Data Loss in Real Time, on November 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET, with registration open through BrightTALK. The company's data security page carries further product information.
