Trendsetter Homes has won the Custom Built Home $1.2 million to $1.8 million category at the 2026 HIA Perth Housing Awards for The Grosvenor in Mount Lawley, its second straight win in the category. EIN Presswire reported the award, with winners announced on October 24, 2026. Trendsetter Homes is a family-owned Perth custom home builder established in 1997 that designs and builds custom two- and three-storey homes and knockdown rebuilds.
Inside The Grosvenor's HIA Win
The Grosvenor is an Art Deco-inspired, three-storey residence on a 265-square-metre block in Mount Lawley, with two levels above ground and a basement that includes a dedicated recording studio. Trendsetter Homes first won the category in 2025 with a custom home in Marmion. The Grosvenor also won the Contract Home $1 million to $2 million category at the 2026 Master Builders WA Awards in August, and was named a finalist in the Small Lot Housing Over $500,000 category and received the John Pietersen Award for Custom Built Home of the Year.
HIA judges score entries out of 100, with 50 points for workmanship, 20 for design effectiveness and sustainability, 15 for innovation and 15 for visual and market appeal. Managing Director Michael Agostino said: "Winning this category once is a credit to the team. Winning it two years running tells us our approach holds up: plan every detail before we start, and build to the standard the judges look for on every home, not just the ones we enter." Trendsetter Homes' own announcement lists prior wins at the HIA Perth Housing Awards in 2019, 2025 and 2026 and at the Master Builders WA awards in 2018 and 2026.
Royal Texan Homes And Toll Brothers
Royal Texan Homes won its second consecutive Custom Home Builder of the Year title at the GHBA Prism Awards on October 10, 2026, receiving 13 awards across company, individual and homebuilding categories, Business Wire Blog reported on October 22, 2026. Toll Brothers has tightened its land underwriting, using gross margin and internal rate of return thresholds and focusing on prime Main-and-Main locations, HousingWire reported on October 28, 2026.
Trendsetter Homes' Award Record
The 2026 HIA Perth Housing Awards recognised The Grosvenor in the $1.2 million to $1.8 million custom built category, following the 2025 win for the Marmion home. The Master Builders WA Awards in August added the Contract Home $1 million to $2 million category for the same Mount Lawley residence.
