ADM opened a destination marketing office in Nairobi, Kenya, on November 2, 2026, extending its East African presence. Business Wire carried the announcement. The company said its destination marketing approached 31 million metric tons in 2025 across its network. ADM is a global agricultural processor and nutrition company that connects farmers to food, beverage, animal feed, pet food and biofuel manufacturers.
What the Nairobi Office Will Do
The office will handle destination marketing activities including market insights, local merchandising, and storage and distribution capabilities that link local demand to ADM's global origination, transportation, logistics and risk management network. Kenya is one of the region's leading trade hubs for food and feed ingredients and the gateway to wider East Africa, according to the announcement. Through the Nairobi presence, ADM will offer customers across East Africa access to food ingredients, feedstuffs and animal nutrition products.
Patrick Heijbroek, vice president, Global Trade and head of origination, EMEA, said: "East Africa is home to more than 500 million people and is a high-growth market, with increasing demand for quality food and feed ingredients and supply chain solutions." Erdal Kurban, president, Africa & Middle East and vice president, Sales, EMEA Flavors, said: "By being closer to customers, we can better understand local market dynamics, respond faster to evolving needs, and connect customers with ADM's global capabilities." The Nairobi office builds on more than a decade of ADM's presence in Kenya and complements human nutrition innovation laboratories in Nairobi, a distribution hub in Nigeria's Lagos Free Zone, and expanded flavor creation capabilities in Johannesburg, South Africa.
