Yelp's First Top 100 Pasta Places List Includes Three Oregon Restaurants

Yelp released its first list of the Top 100 Pasta Places in the U.S., ranking three Oregon restaurants: Placido's of Eugene at 24th, Campana at 68th and Justa Pasta at 70th. Yahoo published the list on November 1, 2026. Yelp is the local search and business directory platform that compiles user reviews and rankings.

How Yelp Built Its Pasta Ranking

Yelp said it released the list in celebration of National Pasta Day on October 17. The platform said searches for "pasta shops" rose 52% in the period from September 2025 to August 2026, compared to the 12 months prior. Yelp said it tapped its community of reviewers for their top picks, and that they voted overwhelmingly for local family-owned shops, trattorias and walk-up windows.

Placido's of Eugene ranked 24th. Chef Joseph Placido opened the restaurant in 2015, serving traditional Sicilian dishes. According to Placido's website, the chef was raised on preparing foods such as salmon, venison and freshwater lamprey and developed an appreciation for "keeping it simple." Yelp lists smoked salmon ravioli, chicken marsala and caprese among the popular dishes at Placido's.

Campana, in Portland's Woodlawn Neighborhood, ranked 68th. Campana has a 4.5-star rating on Yelp, with popular dishes including chicken liver pate, pork ragu and short rib pasta. Justa Pasta, also in Portland, ranked 70th with a 4.2-star rating on Yelp. Yelp says popular dishes there include lasagna, bolognese and risotto. Justa Pasta was founded in Hood River in 1991 before the business moved to Portland in 1995.

Justa Pasta's website describes the restaurant's approach: "The people who work at Justa Pasta are the heart and soul of JP. The food is the result of their passion and commitment to excellence." The passage is attributed to co-founder Roland Carfagno.

According to Yelp, New York and Washington State lead the list of pasta shops, each with nine of the 100 businesses ranked. Yelp's top pasta destinations are The Pasta Shop in Denville, New Jersey; Eataliana Homemade Pasta in Shelby Township, Michigan; Forma Pasta Factory in Brooklyn, New York; Albano's Pasta Shop in Valparaiso, Indiana; and Pasta Fresca in Reno, Nevada.

Yelp's Earlier 2026 Restaurant Lists

Yelp ranked Casi Cielo, an Atlanta restaurant, No. 6 among top 100 Mexican restaurants in the US, a list updated September 8, Yahoo reported on October 16. Palm Palm, a Pittsburgh restaurant that opened in summer 2025, ranked No. 24 on Yelp's list of the best new restaurants of 2026, Yahoo reported on October 20. Bonfire Burritos, a Fort Collins restaurant, ranked 39th on Yelp's list of the 100 best Mexican food spots in the U.S. And Canada, Yahoo reported on October 27.

Yelp's Q3 2026 Earnings Call
