GE HealthCare introduced Allia Celeo, a ceiling-mounted interventional imaging system, at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2026 conference in San Diego on November 1, 2026. Business Wire reported that the system carries CE marking, is 510(k) pending with the U.S. FDA, and is not available for sale in the United States.

What Allia Celeo Brings to Interventional Suites

GE HealthCare designed Allia Celeo around an extra-wide-bore C-arm on a slim, symmetrical ceiling gantry with integrated cabling, which the company said leaves space around the system for staff and equipment. The bore is intended to let the C-arm rotate freely and reach steep angulations, including for patients with a high body mass index. An on-screen digital twin is designed to help optimize positioning, and clinicians can adjust gantry and table positions from multiple locations.

The image chain includes AI-enabled features designed to adjust acquisition parameters automatically, aiming for consistent image quality at the lowest dose across 2D and 3D imaging. The system is designed to be compatible with cleared GE HealthCare applications including StentViz, 3DStenti, Valve ASSIST 2 and the Mac-Lab hemodynamic system, and with interventional radiology tools such as Embo ASSIST AI, Vessel ASSIST and Needle ASSIST. It also supports integration with Vscan Air handheld ultrasound and compatible third-party intravascular imaging and physiology systems.

"Every interventional suite has its own rhythm, and care teams need a system that adapts to the way they work rather than the other way around," said Jyoti Gera, Chief Executive Officer, CardioVascular and Interventional Solutions, Advanced Imaging Solutions, GE HealthCare. Kat Davis, General Manager, Interventional Solutions, CVIS, AIS, said the system was designed so "a procedure should move at the pace of the care team, not the equipment."

Allia Celeo is designed to be compatible with OnWatch Predict, a GE HealthCare technology that combines 24/7 remote monitoring with deep learning-based predictive analytics to anticipate unplanned downtime. The system is the second new addition to the Allia family in less than a year, following the floor-mounted Allia Moveo, unveiled in 2025 and commercially launched earlier this year.

GE HealthCare's Recent Regulatory and Partnership Moves

According to akta.pro company records, GE HealthCare received FDA 510(k) clearance in June 2026 for MIM Contour ProtégéAI+ 2.0, an AI-enabled auto-contouring software for radiation therapy planning that includes a Predetermined Change Control Plan enabling continuous model updates. The same records show a May 2026 contract manufacturing agreement with FAMAR Group to produce iodine-based contrast media in Homburg, Germany, targeting up to 25 million patient doses annually by 2031 and starting commercial supply in 2028.

Earlier GE HealthCare Announcements

On October 20, 2026, GE HealthCare announced five global clinical collaborations to evaluate its StarGuide GX SPECT/CT system across institutions in Israel, the US, France and China, TradingView reported. On October 27, 2026, Medical Buyer reported that GE HealthCare acquired SOFIE Biosciences, a US contract manufacturer of fluorine-18 tracers, to address reliance on external suppliers. On October 28, 2026, TradingView reported that GE HealthCare raised its full-year 2026 guidance after reporting third-quarter results and announced a leadership change for Patient Care Solutions effective November 16, 2026.
