Pandey's Remarks on Tata Sons Governance

Pandey said the issues sit at the holding company level, which is not itself listed, while the group's listed companies follow the Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements norms. "At the holding company level, there are some issues, as that's not really a listed company," he told reporters. Asked whether SEBI was tracking Tata Group developments, he said, "Yes... I mean in the sense of, you know, we have to keep monitoring all the developments."

The comments came amid differences over governance matters at Tata Group's holding company, Tata Sons, including the reappointment of N Chandrasekaran as chairman and the question of its proposed listing. Pandey did not refer to any specific governance violation or regulatory action against the group.
