Amble introduced the Amble One, an all-electric, street-legal low-speed vehicle built for planned communities, with production set to begin in 2027 and deliveries expected in 2028. Forbes reported that Amble says it has surpassed $100 million in reservations three months after launching this summer, with orders in the U.S. And Europe.
What the Amble One Offers
The Amble One is designed for open-air rides for four people plus cargo, with chunky, heavily treaded tires on 28-inch wheels, independent spring suspension and an off-road top speed of 40 mph. U.S. Regulations limit LSVs to 25 mph, and Forbes reported it is unclear how Amble will rein in drivers who activate the 40 mph off-road mode on DOT or community-regulated pavement. The vehicle packs a 12-kilowatt battery pack paired with a 15-kilowatt (about 20-horsepower) electric motor that drives only the rear wheels, with range pegged at 60 miles.
Amble plans three initial configurations for consumers: Passenger, Pickup and Cargo. Quick-connect points make it easy to reconfigure seats, add baskets, tie-downs, roof bits and even soft doors, and planned options include soft doors and increased cargo capacity via seat removal. Lighting is LED all around, and a single instrument marks speed and battery level among other metrics.
The Amble One is led by a team that includes co-founder Julian Hoenig, a longtime Apple alum who served as lead designer on the Apple Watch, Vision Pro and the Apple Car program, and Adrien Roose, who led Cowboy, the electric bicycle brand. Other Amble principals include a SolarCity co-founder and a former Airbnb product chief. Forbes described the Amble One as designed to be safely driven off-road, a different tack than the Wink and most other LSV offerings.
How Rivals Are Positioning Low-Speed Vehicles
Fiat introduced the 2027 Topolino in the U.S. On October 29, 2026, with new Corallo Orange and Luna Greige colors, a full-color digital cluster and a new Topolino Open Air body style, TradingView reported. The street-legal low-speed vehicle has an MSRP of $13,995, and dealers sold out of initial allocations.
Smart will launch the #2 in China on November 5, 2026, retaining the ForTwo's 2-seat layout, Moomoo reported. The all-electric car has a 35.8-kWh battery, 410 km CLTC range and a 60 kW motor, with early reservations opened September 14 with a 298 yuan deposit.
Amble's Production Timeline
Amble says production will begin in 2027, with deliveries expected in 2028. The company's website lists the Amble One among its offerings.
