Springbrook Software unveiled its Innovation Roadmap at Activate 2026 in Orlando, Florida, adding AI Invoicing and AI Permitting to its Cirrus platform, both available today, alongside a Citizen Portal now in preview. The company announced the roadmap on October 29, 2026, according to PR Newswire.
What Springbrook Showed at Activate 2026
Springbrook Software presented the roadmap at its annual customer conference, where attendees could test-drive forthcoming capabilities and give live feedback. AI Invoicing reads incoming invoices, captures the details and matches each one to its purchase order so accounts payable staff spend less time keying data. AI Permitting advises applicants on their application, checks it for completeness and performs a first review of the content. In every case, the company said, AI does the first pass and staff review and approve the result before anything is returned or approved.
The roadmap also includes a New Reporting and Insights Module that puts every report in one place, letting staff ask AI to build, find or change a report, adjust reports by hand and create dashboards. Conversational ERP lets users type what they need and go straight to the right record or report. The Citizen Portal lets residents pay a water bill, renew a license and report a pothole in one place with one sign-in; utility payments support digital wallets and autopay, and residents can track each request. An expanded HCM Suite adds an Open Enrollment module that feeds employee deductions straight into Cirrus Payroll.
"Everything on this roadmap started with a customer conversation," said Lindsey Artman, Chief Product Officer at Springbrook Software. "Finance directors, treasurers, and department heads showed us where their days get hard." CEO Chris Dinkler said: "America has more than 91,000 local governments, and they employ more than 14 million people." Springbrook's 2026 Citizen Trust and Digital Expectations Survey of over 1,000 U.S. residents informed the roadmap, and the company cited Nutanix's 2026 Public Sector Enterprise Cloud Index finding that 73 percent say their on-premises infrastructure is not fully ready for modern AI workloads.
Springbrook's Cirrus Platform and Customer Base
Springbrook launched the Cirrus Permitting & Land Management platform in March 2026, extending from finance and ERP into permitting, zoning, code enforcement, mobile inspections and a 24/7 citizen portal, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show more than 3,000 local government agencies use Springbrook's platform, which carries 20 or more unique applications, and that Chris Dinkler became CEO in December 2025. Springbrook acquired Pulse Software in February 2024, PUBLIQ Software in 2022 and MAGIQ Software in 2021.
Citizen Portal Preview and HCM Rollout
The Citizen Portal is in preview, and Service Orders in Xpress Bill Pay will appear directly in Cirrus for agencies using Springbrook's Utility Billing. The company describes the roadmap items as subject to change based on customer feedback, engineering timelines and business priorities, without a committed delivery date. More detail is available on Springbrook's website.
