Ocean was named a winner of the 2026-27 Fortune Cyber 60 in the Early Stage category, five months after emerging from stealth, PR Newswire reported on October 28, 2026. The agentic email security platform was selected from more than 300 cybersecurity startups.

How Ocean Landed on the Cyber 60

The Cyber 60 list recognizes 60 venture-backed cybersecurity companies, presented by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Amazon Web Services in partnership with Fortune. Now in its fourth year, the list places 20 companies in each of three categories: Early Stage, Early Growth and Growth. Lightspeed evaluated more than 300 startups on annual recurring revenue, current- and prior-year growth, and business operations, and Fortune reviewed and validated the final list.

Ocean's platform investigates every email, including those from known and trusted senders, and its Ray intelligence engine analyzes communication intent, sender relationship history and sending infrastructure. The company deploys through an API, read-only, with no MX change, and goes live in hours. Customers include Kayak, Headspace and Global Fortune 500 organizations across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and retail.

Shay Shwartz, Co-Founder and CEO of Ocean, said: "Being named to the Cyber 60 is a credit to the people building Ocean and to the customers who trusted us early." David Gussarsky, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, said: "Recent events show us that security needs to move at machine speed."
