By ·

Key takeaways

  • TRX options are available through the Blockchain.com Trading Account in eligible jurisdictions.
  • TRON reports more than 411 million total user accounts and 15 billion transactions.
  • Blockchain.com launched options trading on seven digital assets on October 20, 2026, with a $5 minimum premium.

TRON DAO said on October 28, 2026 that TRX options are now available on Blockchain.com through its Trading Account in eligible jurisdictions. The product gives users a simplified route to options on TRX, the native utility token of the TRON network, according to GlobeNewswire.

How the TRX Options Work on Blockchain.com

Blockchain.com is offering the product inside its consumer app, which the company says simplifies a category that has traditionally required more complex workflows. Access is limited to eligible users in supported jurisdictions and remains subject to applicable law and regulatory requirements.

Justin Sun, Founder of TRON, said: "The launch of TRX options on Blockchain.com expands access to the TRON ecosystem through one of the industry's most established global platforms." He added that the launch gives users another way to gain exposure to the wider TRON ecosystem through a familiar platform.

Taro Ugen, VP of Consumer at Blockchain.com, said: "We're making digital asset products easier to access and navigate within the familiar, intuitive user experience of the Blockchain.com app." Ugen said TRX was a natural addition to the company's new options lineup given the scale of the TRON network, its global user base and its role in fueling the TRON blockchain.

TRON DAO reports more than 411 million total user accounts, 15 billion transactions and a cumulative transfer volume exceeding $30 trillion. More than $94 billion in circulating USDT is issued on the network.

Blockchain.com's Options Rollout and Funding Record

Blockchain.com has raised $490 million in total, according to akta.pro company records, and its funding rounds on record number 10. The same records list a Series E of $110 million in November 2023 led by Kingsway Capital, and a Series D of $14 billion in March 2022 led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Baillie Gifford & Co. The records describe Blockchain.com as serving 43M+ verified retail users and 1,300+ institutional clients across 100+ countries.

Earlier Blockchain.com Options and Licensing Steps

On October 20, 2026, Blockchain.com launched options trading on seven digital assets, including BTC, ETH and SOL, with weekly expiries and USDC funding, Crypto Briefing reported. The same report said the $5 minimum premium caps losses per trade and that the exchange filed for CFTC FCM and DCM registrations on October 13, 2026, pending approval.

On October 9, 2026, Blockchain.com applied for two CFTC licenses to offer event contracts and crypto derivatives to U.S. retail and institutional customers, Quartz reported. The company seeks designated contract market and futures commission merchant status.
