Snoonu has expanded its operations to Muscat Governorate, the fifth governorate it has reached in Oman within five months of launching there. The Gulf Times reported the expansion on October 28, 2026. Muscat follows the company's entry into Nizwa and its later moves into Sohar, Salalah and Sur.

How Snoonu Entered Muscat

Snoonu is a Qatar-based super app offering on-demand delivery and e-commerce across food, groceries, pharmacy, retail and events, with majority ownership by Saudi-listed Jahez International. The company said its expansion into Muscat builds on the operational base established in its existing Omani markets. In Oman, Snoonu has developed a network of local partnerships with more than 1,500 brands and created approximately 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for Omani nationals.

Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, founder and group CEO of Snoonu, said: "Our expansion into Muscat is an important step in Snoonu's regional journey and reflects our ambition to build a technology platform that creates meaningful value in every market we enter." Saif Al Maskery, general manager of Snoonu Oman, said the company chose to begin in Nizwa before expanding to Sohar, Salalah and Sur, and now arriving in Muscat.

With the Muscat launch, Snoonu brings its platform to a wider Omani audience, offering food delivery from restaurants and cafés, grocery and retail shopping, pharmacy delivery, flowers and gifts, electronics, and Snoosend, its person-to-person delivery service. The company said additional services are planned as it develops its offering in the Sultanate.

Snoonu's Funding and Valuation Records

Snoonu was valued at $320 million following the Jahez acquisition in 2025, making it the first Qatari startup to surpass $300 million, according to akta.pro company records. Jahez acquired a 76.56% stake for $245 million, with an additional $20 million subscription to newly issued Snoonu shares. The same records list a $12 million Series B round led by Qatar Development Bank in May 2023 and a $5 million Series A led by Qatar Development Bank in March 2021.

Snoonu's Earlier Moves Before Muscat

Snoonu acquired the US food-discovery app BiteSight in its first international deal, signed in Doha on October 19, 2026, with no financial terms disclosed, Startup Researcher reported. On October 18, 2026, Snoonu and Mall of Qatar launched Qatar's first mall-to-doorstep delivery service, powered by Snoosend, EIN Presswire reported. On October 7, 2026, Snoonu announced a QAR 5 million interest-free growth fund for eligible local merchants in Qatar, with applications open until October 2026, Gulf Times reported.

What Snoonu Has Planned Next

Snoonu plans to deploy fully autonomous delivery robots in Qatar between late 2026 and early 2027, integrating physical AI over three years, Gulf Times reported. The company said additional services are planned in Oman as it continues its expansion there.
