Ooredoo Kuwait's Revenue and Profit for Nine Months

Ebitda rose 10% to KD255 million from KD232 million, and the company said normalising for a one-off bad debt provision recognised in the prior-year period put ebitda up 8% year on year. The consolidated customer base increased 7% to 29.1 million as at September 30, 2026, compared with 27.3 million a year earlier.

The net profit decline followed a one-off provision of KD23.5 million after the outcome of the final hearing before the Supreme Court of Algeria in June 2026 on a claim filed by the Central Bank of Algeria against Wataniya Telecom Algerie, a group subsidiary. Normalising for that provision and the prior-year bad debt provision, net profit attributable to NMTC was KD72 million. Consolidated earnings per share were 97 fils, compared with 136 fils a year earlier.

Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: "The first nine months of 2026 highlighted the strength of Ooredoo Kuwait Group's business model and the benefits of our broad geographic presence." He said results were driven by strong execution in Algeria, Tunisia and Palestine, while handset supply-chain constraints in Kuwait affected commercial performance.
