Janus Electric Holdings has signed a non-binding agreement with North American transportation and logistics provider ConGlobal for an initial 20-truck conversion pilot in Texas, with potential expansion across ConGlobal's US network. TradingView reported the agreement.
The Fort Worth Pilot and Janus Certification
The pilot will take place at ConGlobal's Fort Worth Intermodal Logistics Centre, marking an expansion of Janus Electric's US operating footprint beyond California. The partners will explore establishing truck conversion, charging and battery-swapping, infrastructure fabrication, and vehicle servicing capabilities at over 31 locations in the US, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
Under the terms of the partnership, ConGlobal mechanics will earn Janus certification to perform diesel-to-electric conversions on Class 8 trucks operated by local fleets and independent owner-operators. Selected ConGlobal facilities will host battery-swapping operations and provide ongoing maintenance. ConGlobal will also apply its existing container modification capabilities to manufacture containerised battery charge-and-swap stations to Janus specifications, creating a source of locally manufactured charging infrastructure.
ConGlobal has more than 50 years of experience operating terminals and depots with technical teams that maintain and repair chassis, yard trucks, and other heavy equipment. Subject to the pilot's success and definitive agreements, the partners intend to explore expansion across ConGlobal's 31 US depots based on fleet demand, available infrastructure, and commercial viability at each site.
Janus managing director Ben Hutt said the ConGlobal deal represented an important step in the company's North American expansion. "It provides an opportunity for us to establish truck conversion, servicing, and battery-swapping capabilities through an experienced operator with an extensive US network, rather than building our own facilities at every location," he said. "The proposed initial 20-truck pilot in Texas marks our expansion beyond California, allowing us to demonstrate a scalable commercial model before progressing to additional sites across ConGlobal's network."
ConGlobal chief executive officer Brant Ring said the Janus collaboration would create a practical pathway for operators who choose to electrify their heavy-duty trucks.
Janus Electric's US Partnership Record
According to akta.pro company records, Janus Electric signed major US infrastructure and battery partnerships in June 2026, including with Electrovaya for scheduled deployment of swappable battery platforms, Greenlane at the Colton logistics precinct for charging infrastructure, and Ability Tri-Modal escalating to four conversion kits at the Port of Los Angeles with a dedicated charge-and-change station. The same records show Janus Electric launched its first South Australian conversion centre in partnership with Archer Heavy Equipment in April 2026, its first dealer-led conversion hub in Australia.
Earlier North American Orders and Funding
On July 30, 2026, Janus Electric entered FY27 with 112 North American truck conversion orders including conditional orders worth approximately $55 million for 83 conversions in the United States, while raising $12 million through placements to support production scale-up, TradingView reported. On August 4, 2026, FinanzNachrichten.de reported that Trim Capital analyst Glen Wellham published a research report on July 29, 2026, stating that Janus Electric had received orders for 112 truck conversion kits in the USA and Canada, exceeding previous sales expectations. On August 2, 2026, CleanTechnica reported that Janus Electric is expanding its diesel-to-electric truck conversion business with plans to produce 50 conversion kits per month from a current base of 30 trucks, offering fleet owners an economic path to electrification through its Battery as a Service model.
Expansion Subject to Pilot Success
Expansion across ConGlobal's 31 US depots is subject to the pilot's success and definitive agreements, based on fleet demand, available infrastructure, and commercial viability at each site.
