Meridian Holdings' Expanse Studios Begins Live Operations With Licensed Swedish Operator

Meridian Holdings Inc. said its B2B game development division, Expanse Studios, has gone live with an operator licensed by the Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen. The deployment is Expanse's first live operator launch in Sweden and the first commercial activation of its Swedish software provider license, which was granted in December 2025 and runs through December 2030. Meridian Holdings is a Las Vegas-based B2B and B2C gaming technology group that operates across more than 25 international regulated markets, with its B2C division led by Meridianbet Group and its B2B division comprising Expanse Studios and iGaming platform GMAG. Expanse distributes nearly 100 proprietary game titles to more than 1,800 online casino brands worldwide, spanning slots, crash games, turn-based strategies and card games.

Sweden's online gaming sector operates under a licensing framework overseen by Spelinspektionen, making partnerships with licensed operators an important route for suppliers seeking to distribute content within the regulated market. The Swedish deployment builds on Expanse's existing international distribution network, which includes content certifications across 14 regulated markets in Europe, Latin America and Africa.

"Sweden holds one of the most demanding regulatory standards in Europe. Meridian Holdings' Regulated-Market Footprint

According to akta.pro company records, Meridian Holdings reported full-year 2025 revenue of $182.9 million, up 21% year-over-year, and Q2 2026 revenue of $50.2 million, up 16% year-over-year. First-half 2026 revenue surpassed $100 million for the first time in company history, the same records show.
