Regional Homes of Saltillo won two prizes at the Mississippi Manufactured Housing Association's Best of the Best Awards: Most Attractive Sales Center and the Retailer Advertisement Award, Yahoo reported on November 7, 2026. The awards recognize the dealership owned by Brad and Bennette Kellum, which has been the top dealership in the state four of the past five years.

Kellums' Second Sales Center Honor in Four Years

Regional Homes of Saltillo sells manufactured, modular and tiny homes from several brands, ranging from one bedroom to six bedrooms. Brad Kellum said the lot carries five to seven manufacturers that can build anything with a HUD label. The sales center prefers to deliver within a 125-mile radius but makes exceptions when needed.

The Kellums have been in the manufactured home business for some 17 years and have been part of Regional Homes since 2019. "We were a mom and pop for the first four or five years, then Champion Homes bought us out, and about three years ago they bought Regional," Brad Kellum said. "We're still Regional Homes, but we're owned by Champion."

Regional Homes is part of Skyline Champion, which acquired Flowood-based Regional Enterprises in 2023 for $313 million. Regional is the fourth-largest HUD-code manufactured home builder in the U.S., with manufacturing facilities in Alabama and 43 retail sales centers across the Southeast.

Bennette Kellum oversees presentation at the Saltillo location. "She works hard and makes this place what it is on the outside, and it was an honor to get the award again," Brad Kellum said. "This is our second time in four years, so that's something we look forward to because that's a big deal when customers ride by and they see a nice location, it's clean, it's everything they want." The award is given out every four years.

More than 80 manufactured home sales centers operate statewide, Brad Kellum said. "We're helping families," he said. "You know I always say my and her name are on the marquee, but it's really the team behind me, and we've got a great team ... Really, we're a close-knit family."

What the Kellums Say Comes Next

The Kellums said they take more pride in putting families in homes than in the awards. "It's the lives we can change by offering affordable housing," Brad Kellum said. He described a closing a couple of weeks earlier with a customer who had shopped with the dealership for 11 years. "This is the biggest purchase a family will make, and we don't ever take that for granted," he said.
