The film is one of four titles on the Los Angeles company's inaugural production slate.\n\n## Can I Come In? Cast and Production\n\nRouzbeh Heydari directed the film, which shot in Toronto earlier this year and stayed in post-production through the summer and fall, according to [Deadline](https://deadline.com/2026/11/launch-company-can-come-brenton-thwaites-hannah-john-kamen-1237215574/). Thwaites plays Thomas, a meticulous carpenter whose wife Katherine, a hospital nurse played by John-Kamen, disappears from a parking lot after a night shift. She later returns to the porch and asks him to let her in. Henry Thomas plays Tom's father, the town sheriff. Douglas Smith, Willa Holland and Anja Savcic round out the cast. Jess Mastro and Nick Ruggia wrote the screenplay, and Chris K. Daniels produced with Michael G. Nathanson. The Launch Company produced through its Ontario arm, Launch North, and Sasha Manning heads the sales effort at the market.\n\nDaniels described the film's approach in character terms. \"The horror films that speak to me are the ones that are character stories first, and genre second,\" he said. Heydari said the film explores \"the dark manifestation of unresolved trauma, and what happens when that trauma is left unchecked for generations.\" Heydari's earlier features include the music industry drama A Hundred Lies, which premiered on Apple TV in June 2025.\n\n## Launch North and the Company's Production Structure\n\nThe Launch Company was founded in 2024 as a holding organization for its ecosystem of companies, according to akta.pro [company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The same records list five subsidiary arms: Cinelaunch, Launch Financing, Launch Impact Fund, Launch Development and Launch North. Launch North was established in 2024 as a regional entity in Canada, the company's first cross-border geographic expansion. The records also list First Class Pictures, a joint venture production company between Daniels and Nathanson formed in 2024 under the development arm.\n\n## Other AFM Titles From Toho and FilmNation\n\nOther companies brought titles to the AFM market. [Yahoo](https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/movies/articles/goodfellas-unveils-first-images-toho-102021148.html) reported on November 2, 2026 that Goodfellas unveiled first images for Toho's sci-fi thriller Leviathan, a live-action adaptation of Shiro Kuroi's manga set for release in Japan on February 11, 2027. [Yahoo](https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/movies/articles/brittany-o-grady-star-thriller-210213493.html) reported on October 30, 2026 that FilmNation Entertainment will launch AFM sales on the thriller State Of Emergency under its Infrared Pictures label, with shooting expected to start next year.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
