Technis has acquired Konstl, a Geneva-based company specializing in building data collection and technical supervision, according to startupticker.ch. The price was not disclosed. The deal is intended to help Swiss building owners measure and reduce energy consumption building by building.
Konstl installs sensors, collects data through its own LoRa network and hosts it in Switzerland. Technis brings energy optimization expertise to the combined group.
Technis Adds Konstl's IoT Building Data
Konstl joins the Technis group as of the announcement, and Technis continues its acquisition strategy. Konstl's clients, which include property managers, industrial services and municipalities in French-speaking Switzerland, keep their contacts and services.
The two companies' expertise is described as complementary. Konstl specializes in IoT networks in buildings, while Technis contributes energy optimization. Together, the companies say, the approaches open the way to optimization enriched by real measurement of indoor comfort. The combination extends an existing collaboration, including on the Realstone portfolio.
The operation responds to an issue described as a priority: in Switzerland, building energy performance is now a regulatory requirement and a financial issue.
Konstl Team Moves Under Bernaud
The Konstl team joins Technis under the leadership of Didier Bernaud, who will serve as Head of Operations. Konstl's clients retain their existing contacts and services, and the company's sensors, LoRa network and Swiss-hosted data remain part of the combined operation.
