Nike and Oregon State University have extended their partnership through 2031, building on more than three decades of collaboration. The extension also adds quarterback Braden Atkinson and wide receiver Jesse Legree to Nike's Blue Ribbon Elite NIL roster, B2B Marketplace reported on November 4, 2026.

What the Oregon State Extension Covers

Nike and Oregon State announced the extension of their longstanding partnership through 2031 alongside the addition of the two Beavers athletes to Blue Ribbon Elite. The program provides athletes with personalized support and creative opportunities across sport, business and culture, according to the announcement.

Ann Miller, EVP of Global Sports Marketing at NIKE, Inc., said: "There's a special history between Nike and Oregon State, built over more than three decades together." Miller added that welcoming Atkinson and Legree to the Nike family reflects what makes the relationship meaningful.

Blue Ribbon Elite is described as a first-of-its-kind initiative representing a portfolio of athletes across disciplines. The program is named after Nike's beginnings and covers brand campaigns, product innovation and creative direction for participating athletes.

Kevin Griffin, Oregon State Vice President and Director of Athletics, said the opportunity for Atkinson and Legree to join the program is "an incredible benefit of our relationship." Griffin said the extension will serve the university's student-athletes as its programs compete in the Pac-12 and nationwide.

Atkinson said being part of Blue Ribbon Elite is an honor that means more because Nike's roots are in Oregon. Legree said joining the program is a dream come true and that having Nike in his corner pushes him to work harder every week.
