Key takeaways

  • GovSignals launched a prototype demonstration platform for Project Roundtable, a pilot authorized by the Department of the Navy.
  • The pilot runs under a Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Commercial Solutions Opening.
  • Project Roundtable uses a public, non-CAC intake and an internal collaboration ledger to aggregate capability information across participating Navy organizations.

GovSignals launched a prototype demonstration platform for Project Roundtable, a pilot authorized by the Department of the Navy to evaluate centralized industry engagement, the company said in a PR Newswire announcement on November 3, 2026. The pilot is designed to show how commercial technology can connect defense industrial base capabilities to Navy program offices.

How the Project Roundtable Pilot Works

GovSignals is executing the pilot under a Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Commercial Solutions Opening, which evaluates how agile commercial software can support the Department's modernization goals. The platform has three parts. A public, non-CAC intake lets vendors submit and update capability information while preserving their intellectual property rights. An internal collaboration ledger aggregates each engagement into a running record for every participating organization. Capability and TRL are mapped and surfaced to participating Navy points of contact.

The company describes the pilot as a flywheel: industry submits once, participating Navy stakeholders see capability as it matures, and demand signal flows back to industry early. Government stakeholders get a view of what industry can deliver, when, and at what scale. Companies with mission-relevant capabilities are encouraged to voluntarily submit once during the pilot period.

"The Navy operates globally, in the most consequential environments. This scale, coupled with the pace of hardware and software innovation, necessitates a high-fidelity, comprehensive industry engagement hub," said Derek Hoyt, CEO of GovSignals. "Project Roundtable is about ensuring the best capabilities from industry are deployed to the right people in the Navy."

GovSignals' Funding and Platform Record

According to akta.pro company records, GovSignals was founded in 2023 and closed a $5.5 million seed funding round led by Unusual VC in December 2024 to fund platform development for government contracting automation. The same records show the company launched an AI platform for government contracting automation in December 2024, covering the full pre-award to post-award lifecycle with four specialized agents, and won a multi-million dollar Defense Innovation Unit contract in March 2025 to extend its AI-powered workflow solution to government agencies.

Earlier GovSignals Defense Engagements

In July 2026, GovSignals acquired Turingon, adding co-founders Arthur and Ellen Runno as Head of Sales and Deployment Strategist and bringing over 60 years of combined capture and proposal experience, Business Insider reported. In August 2026, U.S. Special Operations Command's SOF AT&L directorate launched the SOF RACER consortium in partnership with GovSignals to give non-traditional companies and defense contractors a pathway to deliver emerging technologies directly to special operations forces, according to Business Wire Blog. In October 2026, GovSignals submitted public comments to the FAR Council proposing a four-part framework for AI use in federal acquisition evaluations, PR Newswire reported.
