Arius Technology has appointed Patrick Bruce-Lockhart as chief executive officer, succeeding co-founder Paul Lindahl, who moves to an active role on the board of directors. The Vancouver-based art digitization company announced the change on November 2, 2026, according to EIN Presswire.
Bruce-Lockhart Takes Over From Co-Founder Lindahl
Bruce-Lockhart steps into the CEO role after helping lead Arius's international expansion. Alongside European head Marco Antonio Soriano, whom he recruited, he built strategic alliances with UNESCO, ABB and the Arctic World Archive.
Lindahl's tenure produced the Art Digital Master File, the company's benchmark for fine art digitization. Arius described the transition as a shift from research and development toward rapid global commercialization, following the launch of its Moneta platform and a collaboration with UNESCO.
"Paul's vision established an uncompromising technology stack that set the industry standard," said Patrick Robinson, chairman of the board. "As we shift toward rapid commercial scale, Patrick Bruce-Lockhart is the exact leader needed to take the helm."
Arius said it will expand the Moneta platform with UNESCO, ABB and the Arctic World Archive to safeguard at-risk cultural heritage. The company also plans to turn illiquid physical masterpieces into tokenized digital assets for museums, collectors and digital audiences.
Arius said its scanners capture color and geometry simultaneously to 10 microns with zero parallax, generating more than one billion data points per square meter. That output is intended to train its Artiam AI and extend into industrial applications beyond fine art.
"With the launch of Moneta, we are scaling a global data infrastructure that both protects humanity's cultural heritage and transforms illiquid physical masterpieces into high-value digital content," Bruce-Lockhart said.
Lindahl said Bruce-Lockhart's work with Soriano on the UNESCO collaboration showed his ability to connect deep technology with global impact. "We are exceptionally well-positioned for Patrick to expand our international footprint at an unprecedented scale," Lindahl said.
ABB, the robotics and electrification group, has separately been expanding partnerships. On November 2, 2026, TradeWinds reported that Schoeller and ABB are teaming up on a multipurpose newbuilding programme, with four new vessels scheduled to enter service from 2028.
Arius Sets Commercial Rollout Under New Chief
Arius said the leadership change supports commercialization of the Moneta platform and new digital markets for physical masterpieces. The company's website describes its ultra-high-resolution 3D optical scanning systems.
