Karl Mayer will present WARPDIRECT 2.0, a range of yarn tensioners and the HSB sizing box at ITMA ASIA 2026 in Booth 3/A24, the company said, according to B2B Marketplace. WARPDIRECT reaches warping speeds of up to 1,200 m/min, and the HSB can reduce size add-on consumption by up to 10 per cent.
What Karl Mayer Will Show in Booth 3/A24
The display centres on the latest-generation WARPDIRECT direct warping machine, which the company says has been deployed worldwide since its launch at the end of last year, with particular demand in India, China and Europe. The current version moves the press roll system from hydraulic to electric operation, which the company says lowers maintenance needs while keeping warping quality precise. Features include Smart-Riet for automatic reed adjustment to the warping parameters, a yarn- and lap-protecting kick-back function, and an automatic uncrossing function that restores the thread arrangement immediately after start-up.
Four yarn tensioning systems will be shown on a parallel creel: OPTOGUARD with optical yarn monitoring for staple fiber yarns from the V-creel; the electronic YTC 2000, standard in denim and now suited to other applications after an upgrade; the universal double disc-type ISOTENS for materials from filament yarn to silk; and the disc-type MEGATENS for coarse and technical yarns. ISOTENS and MEGATENS both carry a new yarn break shut-off mechanism.
The HSB is the centrepiece of the PROSIZE sizing machine. The company says the size box reaches a cover factor of up to 100 per cent, with a high filling ratio and bonded yarn guidance, and offers a maximum sizing speed of 160 m/min, with speeds up to 200 m/min available as an option. The booth will also feature a collection of WovenLike warp knits, which combine a woven look with the production efficiency, easy care, wrinkle resistance and comfort of warp knits. Both technologies target manufacturers of high-quality goods in the commodity sector.
"Our machines produce warp beams of the highest quality with high process efficiency. This offers particular advantages to textile manufacturers who are focused on generating real added value in a highly competitive market," said Enzo Paoli, President of the Warp Preparation Business Unit at KARL MAYER.
